Connections are made between diverse areas of thought and activity through abstracted metaphorical representations in her work. Emily grew up in North Dallas and studied political philosophy and community and regional planning at The University of Texas at Austin. One of the constant threads in her work is innate holism, bringing insights from these and other areas of inquiry into her artistic practice.
